HUMORIST

Humorist is a wearable health monitor (WHM) specifically designed for continuous, real-time tracking of patient biomarkers in clinical environments such as hospitals and medical centers. The device integrates a suite of non-invasive sensors that monitor critical vital signs, including heart rate, respiratory rate, electrocardiogram (ECG), blood oxygen saturation, body acceleration, blood pressure, and body temperature.

Equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, the Humorist WHM supports remote patient monitoring and real-time data transmission. It offers up to 25 hours of continuous operation, powered by a high-capacity 6Ah Li-Po battery. All sensor components are housed within a compact and user-friendly design that features a wrist-mounted pressure gauge, power switch, USB charging port, HDMI port for system debugging, and an auxiliary port for connecting ECG electrodes.

SMART WATCH

During COVID-19 pandemic, many challenges came up in the health sector, especially in patients’ treatment, both in hospitals and at home. Many tech solutions rose during this period, helping medical professionals in their everyday working routine.

A major category was wearable devices, such as smartwatches, which deliver essential insights into patients’ health. 

In collaboration with Vidavo, we developed an advanced device that monitors key vital signs, including oxygen saturation, heart rate, respiratory rate, and body temperature. The data collected is transmitted in real-time to a sophisticated platform that analyzes the information and issues early alerts for any potential deterioration in a patient’s condition. Particularly beneficial for individuals with moderate severity, these smartwatches showed promising results in pilot programs within the emergency departments of reputable public hospitals, including AHEPA and IPPOKRATEIO. This innovative approach not only enhances patient monitoring but also significantly improves the quality of care provided from the doctors.

Airr Project

The Airr prototype system is an innovative technology designed for indoor cycling, featuring unique capabilities. It can recognize the cyclist’s position in real-time during training, which is crucial for accurately simulating resistance similar to outdoor conditions. The system offers two modes: 

  1. **Analog Mode**: In this mode, the resistance adapts to the smart trainer, creating realistic training conditions.
  1. **ERG Mode**: This mode calculates and simulates the cyclist’s actual speed, providing an accurate indoor cycling experience.

The Airr system effectively bridges the gap between indoor and outdoor cycling by integrating aerodynamic factors and body position into the training environment, making both experiences nearly indistinguishable.
